Active Temperature Regulation
Sleep experts agree that sleeping in a cool environment helps you fall and stay asleep better. Our body temperature naturally drops when we sleep, a process that starts 2 hours before bedtime to signal melatonin production and tells the brain it's time to rest. When a sleeping environment is too hot, your body's core body temperature is negatively impacted, causing restlessness, decreased sleep quality and restorative sleep function.
Developing a fabric that actively pulls heat away from the body
To help with sleep, we identified two temperature-related challenges for our bedding:

Stays cool to maintain your body's ideal temperature and facilitate sleep
Fabric cooling is measured with Q-Max โ a physical value that quantifies the sensation of "coolness" when skin touches a surface. For reference, silk scored 0.19 W/cmยฒ while cotton sheets scored 0.11, with the higher the number, the cooler to touch a fabric is. In our Comparative Cooling Experiment, our proprietary Evercoolยฎ fabric achieved a Q-Max rating of 0.40 โ twice as cool as silk and nearly 4x that of cotton. This leads to a refreshing, instantaneous cooling technology that supports your body's natural body temperature drop for sleep.
The human body is constantly generating heat even in sleep, and traditional bedding like cotton acts as insulators, trapping that heat which can cause night time awakenings. To solve this, our R&D team had to look beyond standard textiles, into the science behind heat and the power of high-thermal-conductivity polymers.
We achieved bedding that would feel like the 'cool side of the pillow' all night long through innovative materials and thermodynamics. The second law of thermodynamics states that heat naturally flows from hot to cold, which we supercharged this concept with our Evercoolยฎ fabric, a highly conductive polyamide yarn. Essentially, Rest created a fabric that would move heat away from your body faster, outperforming that of silk, bamboo and cotton to keep hot sleepers cool and comfortable.
Governed by the laws of physics, Evercoolยฎ bedding cannot "create" coolness. Our bedding utilizes smart material science to accurately reflect your room's ambient temperature, leading Evercoolยฎ to be much cooler than traditional bedding. However, it is not an air conditioner and if a room is hot, your body heat will not dissipate as effectively.
We enhanced coolness further for our sheets with silver yarn, which is knitted together with Evercoolยฎ fibers. Silver is one of the most conductive elements on earth (429 W/(mยทK)), roughly 1,700 times more conductive than standard synthetic fibers like polyester.
The final result is a fabric that doesn't just "feel" cool; it acts as a heat sink, actively pulling excess heat away from your body to dissipate it.

Evercoolยฎ bedding starts from its smallest, microscopic unit: the fiber (also known as filament). Evercoolยฎ fibers are extremely smooth, soft and flexible, which is combined with Spandex, an extremely flexible and elastic material.
Multiple fibers then form yarn. However, most yarns in textiles are made using a technique called Drawn Textured Yarn, which under a microscope, has a crimped, chaotic texture. The resulting yarn looks and feels rough, with subpar smoothness and thermal transfer properties. Though more technically demanding, Rest utilizes Fully Drawn Yarn (FDY), a more advanced manufacturing process that creates yarns that are straight, uniform and have a round cross section
Our yarn specification is 80D/68F, meaning 68 individual microscopic fibers make up a single strand of yarn, which has a diameter of 80 denier, the same thickness as human hair. These yarns then go through a rare, specialized machine that knits them into a high-density fabric that is durable and machine washable yet feels delicate..

Moisture Wicking and Breathability
Creating a fabric that manages moisture for uninterrupted sleep
Overheating is a primary cause of waking up in the middle of the night as your body drops its core temperature for sleep. Our bodies sweat when it gets hot to help cool it down, but that is what wakes you up. Rest addressed both these issues by creating a specialized fabric that not only stays cool, but also wicks away sweat for uninterrupted sleep.
Inspired by scientific processes found in nature, we engineered the Evercoolยฎ fabric to act as a moisture transport system to keep sleepers sweat-free:

Absorption: On a molecular level, our Evercoolยฎ fiber is hydrophilic (attracts water), actively pulling sweat away from the skin the moment it forms and into the fabric.

Wicking: Leveraging the capillary effect, moisture travels through the internal microchannels of the fiber and rises to the outer layer of the fabric, much like water moving up a plant stem. This process is much faster than other bedding materials like linen or cotton due to our tightly knitted, ultra-fine fibers.

Evaporation: Because of our unique knitted structure, the moisture is dispersed very quickly across a larger surface area on the fabricโs exterior. This allows for rapid evaporation, which not only keeps your bedding dry but also carries away heat with it.

Self-Cleaning Bedding.
Bedding is an ideal breeding ground for micro-organisms that thrive on the warmth, moisture and bodily build up like dead skin cells. To ensure comprehensive comfort, we created the world's first truly antimicrobial bedding.
A sleep surface that keeps itself clean between washes
Incorporating IONIC+โข technology, our Evercoolยฎ+ bedding naturally and actively kills microbes to maintain hygiene between washes. We knitted silver yarn that contains positively charged ions directly into the fabric, which stays permanently antimicrobial unlike chemical sprays and coatings that wash away.
Our Evercoolยฎ+ bedding works in two-folds:

Antimicrobial Action: The entire fabric is covered with positively charged silver ions that bind to the negatively charged membranes of bacteria and biological contaminants. This interaction disrupts the reproduction of bacteria, effectively creating a permanent "clean zone" where microbes can't grow in.

The Anti-Mite Effect: By eliminating the bacteria that dust mites feed on, the fabric also naturally creates an environment hostile to mite populations.

Static Repellent: The conductive silver fibers dissipate any static electricity, which is what usually attracts and keeps pet hairs stuck to fabrics.

Impenetrable Weave: With superior high-gauge knitting, the gaps between yarns are too small for pet hairs to penetrate and remain. In fact, fur just sits on top rather than getting stuck in it, meaning a simple shake gets all the pet hairs off.
