How do I Wash, Dry, and Store Rest Down Duvets?

Product Tips for Brand New Rest Down Duvet

  1. Prior to use, unfold the duvet on a flat surface with ventilation to acclimate for 24 hours. Gently pat and shake duvet to help restore its fluffiness and capability to trap air. There may be a slight smell due to the natural down. This is normal and will disappear once allowed to air dry.
  2. Duvet covers are recommended when using the down duvet. Duvet covers help extend lifespan of duvet, and minimizes dust or dirt build-up to avoid overwashing duvet.
  3. Slight discolorations are characteristic of natural down and are not a product defect or quality issue.

Cleaning / Washing Rest Down Duvets

Hand wash only with gentle, pH-neutral detergent. Spot clean where possible. Do not soak for prolonged time. Do not dry clean or bleach.

Drying Rest Down Duvets

  1. Recommended: Squeeze out water by hand or blot with a towel to absorb excess moisture. Hang to dry in a ventilated and cool place, avoiding direct exposure to the sun.
  2. Tumble dry possible: gentle, low heat until completely dry.

Note: Down may form clumps after washing and drying. To redistribute, gently pat and massage the down after it has completely dried, repeating until the down returns to its original fluffiness.

Ironing Rest Down Duvets

Steam iron only. Do not dry iron. Hang while ironing, and allow to dry completely with ventilation.

Storing Rest Down Duvets

Store down duvets only after it is completely dry to avoid mold and odor. Store in provided packaging or in a dry, ventilated place. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, high temperature and high humidity environments. Avoid storing in vacuum bag or storing beneath heavy, rough or sharp objects.

Recommended: Every 3 months, remove duvet from storage to air out in a cool place to help prolong quality.
